{"id":123,"date":"2019-02-19T09:45:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T09:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bedfont.com\/wp\/?p=123"},"modified":"2019-02-19T09:45:00","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T09:45:00","slug":"kent-company-wins-2nd-regional-award-for-exporting-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bedfont.com\/de\/kent-company-wins-2nd-regional-award-for-exporting-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent company wins 2nd regional award for exporting success"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Bedfont, based in Maidstone, wins South East Exporter of the Year at the South East Health Technology Alliance Awards<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bedfont Scientific Ltd., who has specialised in the design and \nmanufacture of breath analysis medical devices for over 40 years, was \nnamed Exporter of the Year at the South East Health Technology Alliance \nAwards on 11th February 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the 2nd regional award that Bedfont has achieved after \nwinning their 1st regional award, also for exporting, last year. This \nwin means Bedfont will be going through to the National Medilink Awards \ntaking place at the NEC Birmingham in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jason Smith, Managing Director at Bedfont, explains,<\/strong>\n \u201cIn 10 years we\u2019ve managed to establish a network of distributors, whom\n we regard as an extension of the Bedfont Family. Our first distributor \nwas established in 1988 and we still work with them today. Through this \nnetwork, we have managed to increase our exports significantly, and they\n now account for 80% of our turnover.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dr David Parry, CEO, SEHTA, said,<\/strong> \u201cOnce again our \nawards have demonstrated the excellence of small health technology \ncompanies in the South East. This year was once again very competitive; \nit\u2019s a primary aim of SEHTA to help such companies\u2019 access public and \nprivate sector markets with their innovative products and services\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rob Berry, Head of Innovation, Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSS AHSN), said<\/strong>,\n \u201cKSS AHSN has a key role to help companies navigate the healthcare \nmaze, so we\u2019re delighted to continue to support the SEHTA Healthcare \nBusiness Awards.
