Es blieb ein Ein-Mann-Unternehmen, bis Trevor Smith im M\u00e4rz 1985 als Marketingleiter eintrat. Als zugelassener Chemiker mit einer umfangreichen Karriere in der chemischen Gasindustrie brachte Trevor seine Ideen und Innovationen in das Unternehmen ein, das heute zum Pionier der Atemanalyse f\u00fcr medizinische Anwendungen werden sollte.  <\/p>\n<p>Heute ist Jason Smith der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer und hat die Nachfolge seines Vaters Trevor angetreten, der nun Vorsitzender ist. Damit ist Bedfont ein Familienunternehmen in der zweiten Generation. Jasons Ziel f\u00fcr Bedfont ist es, die famili\u00e4ren Werte durch die Hingabe an die Kunden und das Kerngesch\u00e4ft der Atemanalyse zu zeigen und gleichzeitig weiterhin den besten Service und die besten Produkte zur Verbesserung der Gesundheitsversorgung anzubieten. <\/p>\n<p>Neben der Atem\u00fcberwachung verf\u00fcgt Bedfont \u00fcber umfangreiche Erfahrung im Einsatz von Pr\u00e4zisionsgasen. Das Unternehmen war ein wichtiger OEM-Lieferant von Kalibriergasgemischen, die international an Hersteller von Sicherheits-, Umwelt-, Emissions- und medizinischen Gas\u00fcberwachungssystemen verkauft wurden. Im Oktober 2004 wurde dieser Gesch\u00e4ftsbereich an ein gro\u00dfes britisches Gasunternehmen verkauft, wodurch das Unternehmen mehr Freiheit hatte, sich auf die medizinischen Produkte innerhalb des Unternehmens zu konzentrieren.  <\/p>\n<p>Im Januar 2016 gr\u00fcndete Bedfont nach beispiellosem Erfolg mit der NOxBOX-Reihe die Tochtergesellschaft NOxBOX\u00ae Ltd. Diese wurde dann im M\u00e4rz 2016 an Praxair, Inc. verkauft, ein Fortune 250-Unternehmen mit einem Umsatz von 11 Milliarden US-Dollar im Jahr 2015, was es zu einem der gr\u00f6\u00dften Gasunternehmen weltweit macht.
