Bedfont's No Smoking Alarm™ is a compact, self-contained detection system, designed to control smoking in unauthorised areas. Simple and highly effective, the system provides a visual and audible deterrent ensuring that you maintain a smoke-free environment.

Choose from two versions of the No Smoking Alarm™, a cigarette 'smoke/gas' detector for internal applications, and a match or cigarette lighter 'flame' detector for use internally or in semi-exposed areas where fumes and vapours are normally present. Both products are available as a battery powered, stand alone unit, to provide immediate protection and ease of installation.

Flame Detector

The patented sensor is specially designed to detect flames from a match or lighter being used in unauthorised smoking areas. The application is effective in high winds, where rapid ventilation is an issue, or where there is a presence of smoke and gas. Typical use includes open areas, building entry/exit points, rooms with high ceilings (>3m <6m), or locations subject to intermittent smoke, vapour and exhaust fumes.

The detector is designed for single applications, and has a 120 degree field of view which enables it to detect a 25mm cigarette lighter flame at 6 metres within 1 second. The battery powered, stand alone unit requires 1 x PP3 alkaline or 4 x AA alkaline batteries.

Smoke Detector

The unique sensor within the unit detects cigarette smoke with a coverage of 3m x 3m x 3m. The unit comprises an integral smoke detector and message sounder module, which provides an audible tone when tobacco smoke is detected. Battery operated using 1 x PP3 alkaline or 4 x AA alkaline batteries, the detector can be simply screwed to the ceiling of the area to be protected.

Applications include public conveniences and school toilets where a flame may be disguised.
