NOxBOX®O2
NOxBOX®O2 is the next generation in NO monitoring. It is a standalone side stream system which allows accurate, real-time monitoring of NO, NO2 and oxygen (O2). Compact and easy to operate, the unit can be set up and used by non-technical staff.
Monitoring the exact concentration of O2 being delivered to a patient is important. This is because O2 reading on the ventilator can be distorted once dilution of O2 and NO has occurred.
The NOxBOX®O2’s internal pump ensures that the sensor is constantly exposed to constant gas pressure and flow rate. This means that the unit can be used with spontaneously breathing patients or any type of ventilator.
The NOxBOX®O2 is robust, yet compact and lightweight. It can be powered by mains or a rechargeable battery pack. This makes it suitable for transport ventilation.
The unit is protected against gas surge, water, and water vapour. Audible and visual alarms are provided to alert staff to high and low NO, high NO, and low O2. There is also a low battery alarm.

Calibration
Calibration of the NOxBOX®O2 should be carried out as frequently as deemed necessary, using Bedfont 25ppm NO in nitrogen calibration gas. The minimum recommended requirement is for calibration once a week during use, or once a month during storage. Calibration should always be carried out in a well ventilated location.
