Inhaled Nitric Oxide (INO) Therapy

NOxBOXmobile

Fitted with the NOxBOX®+, the NOxBOX®mobile is a completely self-contained trolley which allows it to be deployed quickly and easily close-by the patient's ventilator. It is also suitable for transport ventilation. The system can be battery or mains powered and accommodates twin NO gas cylinders supplied by a medical gas supplier, ensuring uninterrupted gas flow.

The system has been designed to provide reliable, accurate readings and is easy to set up and use by non-technical but trained staff. Audible and visual alarms are provided for low NO, high NO and NO2, and low battery. Personal NOxAir environmental monitors for NO and NO2 are also supplied to check for leaks and monitor any ambient pollution due to NO or NO2. Accommodation for twin gas cylinders ensures continuous NO delivery.

NOxBOX®mobile Delivery System

Allows both constant flow of NO into the inspiratory line for mechanically ventilated patients, as well as sequential flow for spontaneously breathing patients.

Especially beneficial when treating adult patients where in-phase ventilation is used.

Synchronises the administration of NO with the inspiritory phase – prevents spikes of NO in the inspiration line during the expiratory phase.

Use of the system in sequential mode reduces NO consumption.

Uninterrupted gas flow is ensured when the Delivery System is used in conjunction with the NOxBOX®mobile.

NOxBOX®mobile with Manual Bagging Facility

Allows the therapy to be administered without interruption when the patient cannot be attached to a ventilator, such as when being transferred between wards.

The device is permanently plumbed into the trolley unit, with a two-way tap to allow instantaneous switching between ventilator stream and manual bagging stream.

There is also the facility to secure a transport O2 cylinder, allowing the system to free-roam through the hospital, eg. post-theatre.

Quick fit connectors allow the system to be attached to a bedside O2 gas supply or the transport cylinder.

Nitric Oxide Delivery Calculator

How to use the calculator:

      1. Ensure the correct cylinder concentration is selected.
      2. Ascertain the ventilator flow rate in litres/min and enter into the relevant field.
      3. Determine the amount of Nitrix Oxide in ppm that the patient is to receive and enter into the relevant field.
      4. The required NO flow rate in cc/min will be displayed in the final field.

Nitric Oxide Cylinder Concentration: 200 ppm 400 ppm 450 ppm 500 ppm 800 ppm 1000 ppm
Ventilator Flow Rate:  Litre/min
Prescribed NO Dose:  ppm
Nitric Oxide Flow Rate:  cc/min
