BUSINESS OF THE YEAR……BEDFONT SCIENTIFIC

Bedfont Scientific have won ‘Business of the Year’ in the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Awards 2011, sponsored by the University of Kent. There were many applicants for each of the 5 award categories and yet again Bedfont has shone through and scooped the top prize.

Collecting the award on behalf of Bedfont, Trevor Smith, Managing Director said: “It is down to the hard work and dedication of the Bedfont staff that has enabled the company to continue to thrive during a time of economic downturn, everyone here at the awards ceremony this evening should be proud of their achievements.”

The last 6 months have been eventful for Bedfont with the business relocating to their new, purpose built, offices in Harrietsham, new members of staff being employed from the local community and new products being designed ready for launch later this year.

The awards ceremony was held at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, Canterbury in the evening of Wednesday 23rd March. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three course meal, complete with entertainment from “Drum Café” which found every guest playing african drums! A great evening was had by all and winning the top prize was the “icing on the cake” to what has been a great year so far.

By winning this award Bedfont will automatically be entered into the British Chamber of Commerce Awards and national category winners will have the chance of winning a £25,000 prize. Watch this space……….
