Bedfont Scientific Ltd products motivate young people to give up tobacco

Bedfont Scientific Ltd is supporting World No Tobacco Day on the 31st May 2008 by encouraging smokers to take a breath CO test. These tests are used to motivate smokers to give up by showing how much carbon monoxide from cigarettes is being inhaled, using the recognised traffic light system to act as a motivational stimulus for smokers trying to quit.

Bedfont’s newest product on the market, the Micro+ Smokerlyzer is the only monitor to provide an adult, adolescent, pregnant woman and foetal %COHb conversion in one monitor. The one touch colour screen with easy to use graphics makes the monitor ideal for every CO breath test.

As part of their commitment to a tobacco free youth Bedfont Scientific Ltd is supporting a ban on advertising and sponsorship by major tobacco companies to deter more adolescents from starting to smoke. Unfortunately most people start smoking before the age of 18, so Bedfont’s range of monitors have a special adolescent setting that will allow Advisors to give a reading in line with the smokers age and habits thus encouraging them to quit smoking, before they are fully addicted.

To ensure as many people as possible benefit from a CO breath test, Bedfont Scientific Ltd are offering all smoking cessation advisors a 10% discount on the Micro+ if ordered before the 21st June 2008, quoting code WNTD08.
