Bedfont Launches New Micro+ Smokerlyzer for ALL your CO Testing needs.

Rochester based Bedfont Scientific have developed the Micro+ Smokerlyzer which is the only carbon monoxide monitor on the market with the ability to analyse breath samples for adult, adolescent and pregnant mothers, with a one-touch conversion to Foetal %COHb, making it the only device needed for your entire CO testing.

The Micro+ is the only monitor available in the UK, which has an adjustable breath-hold countdown timer for patients who are unable to hold their breath. This is an important step forward as it has been scientifically proven that holding your breath allows CO levels in the alveolar air and the blood to equilibrate, giving a more accurate CO reading.

The Micro+ uses single-use disposable cardboard tube mouthpieces, has a built-in anti-bacterial filter and a one-way valve ensuring optimal infection control. Readings are given in both COppm and %COHb, which can be instantly converted to Foetal %COHb (%FCOHb) for use with pregnant women.

The Micro+ is easy to use with its colour touch-screen for ease of operation. You can view results in either a table or a graph and can store up to 10 patients’ details on the monitor. The monitor has been designed with a low sensitivity to hydrogen and alcohol ensuring accurate results and making the Micro+ perfect for everyday use and research.
